Katie Morgan Gibbs is The Anorexic Assassin in my latest book. The Anorexic Assassin (the book) is a character study of one Jimmy Joe Jeter.  Actually, by ignoring the content of his character, he was caught in the web of Katie Gibbs and lost his freedom and his wife.  Katie Gibbs is modeled after a real life assassin, Kelly Cannon.  I first met Kelly when she was a student at Harpeth Hall with my daughter.  Kelly and Susanna went to Rhodes College together and were sorority sisters and roommates. Kelly eventually married Jim Cannon, a Nashville lawyer. She ended up strangling him and is now serving a life sentence at the Tennessee Prison for Women. In early 2015, her lawyers filed a motion requesting a new trial.

Katie Gibbs married a lawyer, Bobby Gibbs, and eventually strangled him. But she manipulated the facts to entrap Jimmy Joe, a person she loved to hate.

I love to write, tell stories, play bocce ball and be with my four grandchildren.  The character in the story of THE ANOREXIC ASSASSIN, Jimmy Joe Jeter, has been rattling around in my head for decades.  Finally, he has emerged from the shadows to combat the anorexic assassin and relieve me of my obsession with this fictional man.DSCF0072 (2)

THIS IS ME

I have written six other books.  The best seller is THE ORGANIZED EFFORT which details a selling system for investment specialists.  I was in that business for 35 years. The second best seller is Real Battles, Real Dragons, a heart wrenching story of my wife’s battle with breast cancer and my attempt to solve the problem as a patient advocate.

I currently reside in the Roanoke Valley of Virginia with my lovely partner Linda Wallis.  I have plenty of opportunities to write and tell stories.  I hang with an active and hip crowd that provides a lot of material. A good story, a large book of instructions, a genuine love for their fellows go hand in hand with this bunch.

I have lived in Richmond, Nashville, Washington (DC), and Miami, but my favorite is my home in the Roanoke Valley.
