T. Michael Smith grew up in Roanoke, Virginia. He lived in Raleigh Court and was a drugstore cowboy in front of Garland’s Drugstore. Educated at Jefferson Senior High School, Wiley N. Jackson Construction Company, Virginia Tech, and Columbia University. Economics and Math, Phi Beta Kappa, Chartered Financial Analyst, 7 licenses from the NASD and New York Stock Exchange. Worked for Wheat, First Securities, J.C. Bradford & Co., and SunTrust Investment Services. Former Member of Governor’s Advisory Board—Virginia. Lived in Richmond, Nashville, Washington, DC, Arlington, VA, and Miami, FLA. Currently writes books, a blog and gets involved in issues he doesn’t fully understand.
